ACCCIM Malaysia's Business and Economic Conditions Survey (M-BECS) Report 1H 2026 and 2H 2026F

23 July 2026

The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM)’s Malaysia Business and Economic Conditions Survey (M-BECS) covers business performance in Jan-Jun 2026 (1H 2026) and expectations for Jul-Dec 2026 (2H 2026). It was conducted between 4 June and 30 June 2026 and has received a total of 791 responses.

The survey is a good barometer to gauge the Malaysian Chinese business community’s assessment and expectations about domestic business and economic conditions, as well as their prospects.

It covers questions to measure expectations about the prospects of economic and business performance, the main factors affecting business performance, and to gauge the implications of current issues and challenges faced by businesses. For this edition, the survey explores businesses’ access to financing, covering challenges in obtaining bank financing, the utilisation of Development Financing Institutions (DFIs), and awareness of alternative financing channels.
